Ok, I’m an incredibly fast driver, and it’s never taken me less the 4.5 hours to get there from Birmingham. You must have some Nas in your car like Paul Walker in The Fast and the Furious.
….. maybe i might have a speeding problem? i am not confirming this. also i might be confusing birmingham with mobile? i must confess i don’t travel into alabama too often! frankly i’m lucky if i get out of orleans parish on a regular basis.

Oh ghost of DS3M, I will not downvote you out of state pride or anything, but I will point out that Birmingham is actually a pretty cool city: a mostly progressive oasis in the heart of the bible belt. It has plenty of problems, but its heart is in the right place most (some) of the time.
I guess that’s what I get for listening to Jeffs Foxworthy and Dunham RE: The South
