Matt Walsh and Ian Roberts, formerly of Upright Citizens Brigade, have a new show coming to Spike TV called Players. It looks kind of like if It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia was made for, well, Spike TV, but those guys are great, so let’s wish them luck.

Spike is to FX what Showtime is to HBO. Of course I hope they succeed, but this show needs to be retitled “It’s Always Sunny in the League.”
agreed in theory. I kind of thought that The League was basically Always Sunny but for less slackerish more jockish watchers.
Hey! One of these dudes is the kings right hand man in Role Models. “He’s built like a brick shithouse” -Augie Farks. (I think I’ve seen this movie 37 times now. Thanks HBO!)
I’m glad Ian Roberts looks to have lost some of that weight he had on during Reno 911!’s final season. He was really fat on that show and it perplexed me due to him being such a bad-ass eye-patch-wearing alleged cyborg Antoine on the UCB show.
Yeah, now he can finally fly Southwest.
There it is! I was trying to figure out a way to spin my post into airplane fat joke territory, but I opted to just go matter-of-fact instead.
Thank you, my2cents!
No problem, the monsters have your back
He popped into UCB in NY a few years back and I could not recognize him, he was so big. I was like that guy looks familiar. Once he opened his mouth I was like WHUTTTT?????? Glad he?s back to a healthier size.
But my real point of this comment is YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! I will watch this so hardcore.
Cheeseburger been on floor all night! Who would eat? No way!
Yeah, I’m looking forward to this.
I’m just so tired of all these sports bars.
Sweet Fecal Jesus!
Oh Spike TV still exists, well I just lost that bet
Marc Maron did a great interview with Matt Walsh on his podcast last week.
