Can you believe that we are only one week into 2010? That is bonkers! It feels like it’s been 2010 FOREVER. That’s not even remotely true. But I do think that if you compare this first week of the year to first weeks of years previous, you will find that we are on pace to blow the roof off of this year. We’ve already got a catchphrase for goodness sake. And a controversy! The launch of an exciting new column! YA BURNT, 2009! And now, of course, it is time for the first Monsters’ Ball of the year! Meaningful! Important!

Man, it is great to see everyone back from break with their crisp new haircuts and Christmas clothes. I’ll try to remember this week in a couple of months when everyone’s all bugged out from life and has let their hair/clothes grow scraggly.

Hey helluva week all right. Good energy! I’m only catching up on it all now because I was busy working all week (!), its great to have you all back. Overwhelming in fact. I’m a little emotional right now. Full disclosure: those emotions are hungry and horny. Not necessarily in that order.
I would say that maybe the feeling you’re feeling is love. But I know you know what an erection feels like. (Is it plagiarism if I don’t cite a joke that’s almost the same as a “famous” joke?)
