My only concern is that some of this stuff is too mainstream. Comedy audiences these days like their jokes to be more downtown.

He should always be introduced as “Webby Award-winning comedian Tim Heidecker”. Show a little respect, Gabe.
for some reason, i coudnt stop watching, even though i felt so awkward.
I think the reason is because it’s great?
he’s no Dane Cook.
get out of my brian.
omg. Brain. AND my boyfriend Brian.
Wtf! What was THAT? Dane Cook is sooooo much funnier! LOL!
did you notice that all he had to do was say “tiger woods” and the audience started laughing?
This works so well its unfair.
Am I the only one who thinks this is pretty much just Zach Galifianakis’s old act?
Word
I think it’s just that tim, eric, and zach all sprung from the same zeus head of humor
dude, this is what mystifies me about comedy. This guy plays awkward and makes people laugh, whilst my awkward makes people throw things… Truly stand-up is a mystical art.
Yeah I was sceptical at first, but it grew on me pretty quick. The part where he kept restarting the Coke/Pepsi joke made me ROFL all over myself.
Pure brilliance.
“it’s not funny yet.” – Tim Heidecker
pretty funny but the whole nervous, unprepared, obvious topical comedy subversion tactic has been done. If he came out and delivered those terrible jokes with some zeal and unfounded cockiness he might have something original.
More often than not nervous comedy such as this comes off as white noise to me.
The longer ti goes on, the more I tend to tune out.
No offense to Tim.
Same here, but somehow him doing my stand up act works…
i think there’s something to the fact that fans are used to seeing tim exist in his own made-up pop culture world, so watching him talk about real events and products is strangely funny. it somehow makes him a real person, which he so often is not.
his older stuff he did in this format is still funnier.. which is probably his point because he’s genius.
I like how he curses the word “bitch” so deliberately.
This is frickin fantastic. I love how the one thing you’ll notice is that none of the jokes have punchlines. They all stop short of actually following through with a joke – and you’re left floating somewhere in the middle, when he moves on. The uncomfortable-ness of the whole thing is brilliant, and pretty hard to pull off “inept” like that on purpose. Pretty amazing!
It seems more genuine to me with Galifianakis does it. Plus Zach can go off topic like his vs. Johnny Fairplay video. THAT is some funny shit. “Awe man. . . you coulda made seventy SIX hundred bucks!” Maybe it’s just ’cause Tim and Eric have always annoyed me more than entertained me. They just ain’t my bag I guess.
Keep your brian, I’m not leaving your brain, however.
That’s ME inside Brian. Sorry. But I won’t leave till he gives me back my Styx tape.
