It is a cold and unforgiving world out there, so who are we to judge whether or not it is OK or “weird” for a grown man to marry a Nintendo DS Lite videogame character? We all live in glass houses, although clearly some of our glass is cleaner and more in touch with reality than others’. Anyway, congrats, crazy guy!

Yeah he’s weird, but at least he proposed in private. He took her on vacation and played with her most of the airplane ride. And when the time was right he took her to a nice dinner, uploaded an engagement ring power up on his sd card and she downloaded the file/accepted.
If he’s comfortable with literally tens of japanese teenagers busting trails on his wife’s face on a fairly regular basis, more power to him.
does this count as objectophilia?
At least he didn’t marry a pillow….
This justifies my brief marriage to a copy of Super Fudge by Judy Blume.
First comment: “I hope he has a prenup. Nintendo DS divorce court is a no fault 50/50 state.”
HA!
Seriously, if my mom even starts with the “even fictional videogame characters can find a husband” malarkey tomorrow, I am going to try and suffocate myself with yams.
I’m OK with this. As long as they’re not the same sex. Otherwise, SLIPPERY SLOPE!
I’m declaring shenanigans on this one. If you read the accompanying article it says that the groom was part of some underground art/media/video/otaku web group and that it was important for him to broadcast the wedding. This is clearly just some ploy to be a viral internet sensation and not an actual romance. Like how crappy is that? Even sham marriages are a sham…
“A laundry list of video game girlfriends”?
What a player!
(I’m sorry)
Apparently Goku was giving an inspiring, tear inducing best man speech until Freiza showed up to thwart the entire ceremony. Luckily for all in attendance, Piccilo was the bouncer, and swiftly resolved the fued, and everyone laughed and ate wedding cake and danced till the sun came up.
Oh, I found the theme song for “We should all be so lucky”!!

Could you please pass this message on to the groom?
Clubs…even virtual clubs…are a great place to meet people that share your common interests; in this case, contributors to Nico Nico Douga share an interest in otaku with you, Sal9000. I’m not 100% sure what this means, but please stop destroying your parents’ souls with your weirdness.
All craziness aside, the bride is pretty attractive.
